My name is El Kido, I’m not long in the game of making music (and im also a girl!) but have had an excellent teacher so all is good!
So the sweet life of Josh and Jake, as I’m sure you are aware,…I also live in a hotel so really it’s the sweet life! Haha I live beside 2 shrooms,…water towers and the city is pretty cool at night when it’s all lit up. The view from the 15th floor is amazing as you can see nearly all of Dublin if not from one end of the city to the other, it’s remarkable to say the least. It’s like we’re in the clouds here, there all pink and whisked across the sky. The blends are amazing, but it’s getting quite dark lately so the pink is getting almost serious. Gorgeous!!
I love the series of The Wire and have started to watch a similar HBO series called The Corner, it’s not half as good YET but will give it time,…as I The Sopranos didn’t appeal to me straight away and I couldn’t get enough of them.
Well that all for now as I’ve to be up way too early tomorrow. Not fun.
Out.

El Kido’s début
Reason Record
(Just when i was hoping Reason 5 would be released with something like this built in!)
Well it looks pretty good.. but its not much help for producers like myself who would rather see a wave editor (+ VST’s + a proper mastering suite + more ‘Ableton like’ features) but it seems that Propellerheads new software is aimed at Bands and non-electronic artists.

So i dont think ill be getting it – its pretty much a ‘virtual’ mixing desk, and noone really needs one of those unless your recording various instruments (like guitars + drums for a band). So looks like it will be another wait before the next update for Propellerheads Reason software. It looks just like Reason though – why couldnt they just update Reason with most of the ‘needed’ features of Record in it!?

Reason Record - New release from the makers of Reason!
Record looks pretty nice though I have to say. Thats one good thing about Reason 4 also – the graphics are sweet – but it really needs some more substance over style: like built-in production and ‘proper’ mastering software to save producers like myself having to export and re-master our work using external wave editors and mastering suites!
